I feel your pain, play this game.

This is one of the most beautiful games I have ever played. It reminds me about the importance of music in games. Check it out and post your high score!

If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days you would produce enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee.
Hardly seems worth it to me.

I was doing some research for my message two weeks from now (called Evolution, Evolved) when I realized how dumb I think evolution is. We evolved from monkeys? Are you kidding me? They throw their own poop at each other!
Anyway, here is a picture I found that I think sums up exactly how I feel about evolution.

Credit goes to christdefense.com… good job guys.

I was sitting in my office this morning listening to Pastor Mike’s message from last Wednesday when I realized how pathetic I am. No, seriously.
Are you kidding me? Any of these people could’ve used any of these excuses to sit back and fail, but they used them instead as motivation. If you asked me, I would say a 41 year old could never make the olympic swimming team, a one-legged man could never fly a bomber, a man could never pitch with just one hand or a blind man could never climb Mount Everest. Yet, here we are, reading stories of these incredible accomplishments by people who refused to use hard times or bad situations as an excuse and instead used them as motivation.
As Christians, we need to realize that our shortcomings are our strengths. Thats why God told Paul, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in your weakness.” God understood that if we could do everything ourselves, we would get the glory, so He CHOOSES to use us in places that we consider ourselves weak. Paul said, “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
We need to stop making excuses like:
and we need to start acting like when we are weak, God is strong in us. And when we do, I know that we will see God do things through us that we never could’ve done on our own.
Step out and do something today, and then leave the story in a comment so everyone can read it!

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.
When I was a kid, my most painful moments came when I had to get up in the night to go to the bathroom. Almost without exception, as i walked through the darkness I would stub my toe on something. I finally learned my lesson: Don’t walk in the dark!
We need to shine the light of God’s Word on every work of darkness that would try to trip us up. Don’t compromise in the dark when you can walk in victory in the light!
You have to see it to believe it…

YeeeeHaawww! It’s that time of year… Spring Turkey Hunting! Last Saturday that’s what we did. Josh, his dad Carter (future father in-law) and I went spring turkey hunting in Gregory County (if you don’t know where that is dont worry it’s not useful information but if you must… it’s just outside of Platte, SD). I must be accurate in my story of this great day only Josh and I hunted turkeys and Carter “intended” to just fish.
It started off pretty good around 6am and by 10:30 we were being dropped off on the shore of the Missouri River miles from any form of human life. The weather: balmy 70 degrees with a South wind 5-7 mph. Then we set off and by 10:50ish (more…)
Hey EJVers…

Post your time… lets see you beat mine. HA HA HA!
Dear Lord,
So far today, I’m doing all right. I have not gossiped, lost
my temper, been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish, or selfindulgent.
I have not whined, complained, cursed, or eaten
any chocolate. I have charged nothing on my credit card.
But I will be getting out of bed in a minute, and I think
that I will really need your help then.
1-6So, my dear Christian friends, companions in following this call to the heights, take a good hard look at Jesus. He’s the centerpiece of everything we believe, faithful in everything God gave him to do. Moses was also faithful, but Jesus gets far more honor. A builder is more valuable than a building any day. Every house has a builder, but the Builder behind them all is God. Moses did a good job in God’s house, but it was all servant work, getting things ready for what was to come. Christ as Son is in charge of the house. 6-11Now, if we can only keep a firm grip on this bold confidence, we’re the house! That’s why the Holy Spirit says,
OK, j/k. But I do have an awesome game for all of you to try between the times you are working hard. It’s called, “Filler,” and as the name implies, it will “fill” your time (ok, wow that was bad) because it’s so addicting. So go, play it, and see what you’re high score is. Post it here. I got 68,034 points. Beat that!
Hey everybody! I hope you are having a great day at school. A while back I was looking for a new desktop picture for my computer here at work and it’s always tends to be something that takes way longer than it should because I (probably like most of you) want something that fits… me. Something that fits what I like, something sorta artsy fartsy, but also must fit with the look of my office (something professional). I have this particualar spot I go and it didn’t take me long to find this one at all…. it was perfect! It fit! And beyond looking cool and artsy fartsy and ”professional” it also kept me focused! It wasn’t animated or anything like that it just had two very short sentences. “Do your work. Don’t be stupid.” Every morning I sit at my desk and am reminded to “Do my work. Don’t be stupid”
Guys, they Bible really talks about this very thing. Romans 12:11 says: “Never be lazy but work hard and serve the Lord” Hey, I know that school can get to be a drag at times (so can work), but I see in this verse that by you and me working hard whether at school or work we are actually serving God! As we begin to really dig in on our school work and studying not only do we begin to get favor from our teachers but we also do from God. The Bible says ”Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed…” We all know to well when asked to turn in homework or assignments and we don’t have them, if we are honest we all feel ashamed for not getting them done. Young person, don’t take short cuts the Bible says in Proverbs 21:5 “Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.” The Bible is telling us right here that if we don’t take short cuts we’ll find our life beginning to be filled with abundance! Abundance of knowledge, good character, self-discipline and even cold hard cash! So today WORK HARD. DONT BE STUPID.
See ya Wednesday!

Whether in sports, school, or a career, there are decisions that will form habits and cause any person to come out on the losing end most of the time. Success and failure are not mysteries. You can choose either one.
1. Fingerpointing. “It’s someone else’s fault that I didn’t do well-not my own.”
2. Procrastination. “I’ll get to it later when the mood hits me just right and the universe comes into proper alignment.”
3. Unbelief.“I don’t think I was meant to succeed-mediocrity is just in my genes.”
4. Jealousy.“I don’t see why they get everything going their way. They get all the breaks.”
5. Laziness. “I’m going to do the very lease I have to do in order to get this job done. So what if it’s not by best?”
